We are recruiting a Sport and Facilities Co-ordinatorat Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £16,038 - £17,397 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sports and Facilities Co-ordinator based at the Centre for Skills & Learning in Pontllanfraith.

The successful candidate will support the daily operation, maintenance, and supervision of the sports facilities including the ATP and Sports Hall, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all clubs and community users.

Duties will include equipment setup, health and safety checks, minor maintenance, and assisting with bookings and events.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sport, good organisational skills, and a proactive attitude. Flexibility for evening and weekend work is essential.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, in a Leisure or Sport setting and Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work.
  • The ability to lead and supervise the day–to–day operation of a busy sport-based facility, and the services it provides to meet with customer needs.
  • Experience of operating management information systems. For example, Plus 2.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, additional hours and differing shift patterns.
