Title: Strategic Building Safety Project Lead

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours

Salary: £48,700 per annum to £55,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £42,700 per annum to £48,000 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Grade: 9

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm

We are on the lookout for a proactive Project Lead to combine their interest and experience in Building Safety, along with their impressive project management skills.

This role is a crucial investment to progress and continuously improve L&Q’s Building Safety framework and ensure the long-term resilience of L&Q’s Building Safety operations.

This role reports to the Head of Strategic Building Safety and sits within the wider Corporate Health and Safety Team.

Your impact in the role:

  • The role will help to develop the digital infrastructure needed to provide the future sustainability of effective building safety management including the Golden Thread of Information.
  • The post holder will develop systems to embed the building control requirements across L&Q’s portfolio of Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and provide advice on Gateway applications.
  • The role will play a vitally important part in developing and implementing new processes so that building safety is truly embedded across the organisation, and that our residents are safe in their homes.
  • The post holder will develop close working relationships and connections across every part of the organisation but in particular with the wider Corporate Health and Safety Team, colleagues in Property and Investment and within Customer Services.

What you'll bring:

  • Hold (or be working towards) the CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management.
  • You’ll have demonstrable project management experience and a solid understanding of Building Safety legislation and regulations.
  • You’ll need excellent verbal and written communications skills, a strong ability to analyse data and produce detailed written reports and you’ll have a natural ability to influence senior level stakeholders.
