Provide strategic direction for the future of the Isle of Wight Council and help us shape the organisation we need, to deliver for our Island.
This pivotal leadership role sits at the heart of our council and will give you an opportunity to truly influence organisational success at the highest level.
Join our team and take the lead on programmes that improve services, strengthen capability, and deliver results for our island residents and communities.
You’ll be directing a broad and influential corporate portfolio of services central to the Council's resilience, credibility, and capacity to deliver.

- Directing a diverse portfolio with significant impact and visibility
- Meaningful public service leadership with lasting community impact
The person
We need a senior executive to combine strategic insight with practical delivery, someone to be a visible, credible leader, who inspires confidence and trust.
We are ambitious for our residents, our communities, and our unique environment, so, to succeed in our goals we’ll need a strategic director with a strong track record of leading corporate services, organisational transformation, and governance improvement within a complex organisation
Predominantly based onsite here on the Isle of Wight, this role also offers hybrid working arrangements, with agile, remote, and home-working options in place when needed, helping you maintain both a key island presence and a healthy work-life balance.

Salary range
- £115,794 - £124,441 per year
