About the Role
The Combined Authority is in the middle of an exciting period of change and growth and we are looking for an ambitious, highly committed and skilled Strategic Finance Manager – Technical Services with a focus on delivering an exceptional, high-quality service which enables the authority to meet its statutory financial reporting requirements.
This role will be instrumental in leading the Technical Accounting Function within the Combined Authority. It will have responsibility for providing a comprehensive and proactive technical accounting service including the preparation of financial accounts, treasury and tax strategies and being the expert for the authority on technical accounting issues. This will also include supporting the setting up of complex organisational structures and determining how they are integrated if required with the Authority’s main financial accounts.
The role will act as a key liaison between the Finance Team and the wider organisation, linking in with Senior Managers in providing treasury investment/borrowing, taxation and technical accounting advice in support of delivering major projects for the authority.
About the person
We are looking for a qualified accountant with significant experience of working at a senior level in a complex organisation in a technical accounting environment. You will be a team player used to working across finance and non-finance teams, and able to produce financial accounts and provide treasury and tax information to support service delivery.

Salary range
- £59,311 - £70,405 per year
