Street Cleansing Operatives

37 hours per week

Working Monday to Thursday 6:30am – 2.30pm and Fridays 6:30am – 2.00pm

Salary: NS5 £25,989 - £26,403 per annum

Two posts one permanent and one FTC for 12 months

We are now recruiting for two Street Cleansing Operatives who will be committed to making the district a cleaner, safer and greener place to live, work and visit.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individuals to support the Street Scene team in their work keeping the Newark and Sherwood district clean and litter free all through the week and at some of the busiest times of day. Working as a Street Cleansing Operative, you will provide a high-quality and high performing street cleansing service.

You will possess a full driving licence.

Job role incudes,

  • Cleansing of street furniture
  • Public bin and dog waste collections
  • Graffiti removal
  • Fly tip removal
  • Watering
  • Litter picking
  • Various safety checks
  • Installing Street furniture
  • Gritting
  • Flood response
  • Chewing Gum removal
  • Driving varied vehicles

Occasional weekend working will be required to cover busy times and events across the district.
