Permanent, 37 hours per week
Salary NS5 - £25,989 - £26,403 per annum
Working: Saturday - Wednesday shift times 10.00am until 5.45pm
We are now recruiting for two Environmental Services Street Scene Cleansing Operatives
You will assist in providing a cleaner environment to all residents and visitors to Newark and Sherwood through the provision of a high quality and high performing street cleansing service. Operatives are expected to work a variety of rounds as directed.
This is a physically demanding post – tasks undertaken will include emptying wheeled and litter bins, litter picking, lifting and carrying awkward and heavy weights, fly tip removals, furniture removal, graffiti removal, and supporting the wider range of the street scene teams, (using correct manual handling techniques i.e. twisting, bending etc.) and walking long distances.
This position will be mainly loan working so the successful candidate must be self sufficient, a good problem solver, and posses good communication skills.
Qualifications, Manual Driving license essential, C1 License desirable
