SUBJECT Level 3 – Permanent Contract
Location: Pitsea. You’ll be required to work in the Pitsea office a minimum of 2 days per week. Travel to the Westminster Bridge Road and Ealing Gateway offices will also be required.
Course Duration: 15-month apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship qualification, your salary will increase to the full-time equivalent salary for this role. Please note that this rate may be subject to an increase by the time you complete your apprenticeship.

About the role
We are seeking a Support Officer Apprentice to join our Delivery Support team in Pitsea, where you’ll be an integral part of Peabody’s repairs, maintenance and property services. Working under the guidance of experienced team members and reporting to the Senior Support Officer, you’ll assist with the administrative support to the operational teams delivering Responsive Repairs, Major Works, and Disrepair works. You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders and customers across Peabody, driving improvements and offering a first-class service to our residents. This role offers structured learning and skill building in administration, prioritisation and stakeholder management, all while contributing to Peabody’s mission and strategic goals.
With mentorship and hands-on experience, you’ll grow your skill set and explore opportunities for personal and professional development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Responding to queries from residents
- Scheduling appointment and inspections for Surveyors
- Manage email inboxes and respond to emails accordingly
- Assist with complaints
- Organise meetings and site visits
About the Apprenticeship:
This is a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship over 15 months. As part of the programme, you will complete planned training and development activities that are built into your normal working hours. During this time, you will attend workshops, receive one-to-one mentoring, and apply your learning to real-world tasks. Upon completing the apprenticeship, you’ll have a final assessment to demonstrate your skills and readiness for a career in business administration.
Funding Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over.
- Not be in full-time education at the start of the apprenticeship.
- Not already hold qualifications at the same or a higher level in a similar subject.
- Have lived in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years prior to the commencement of your apprenticeship
- Your residency status must remain valid for the entire duration of the apprenticeship.
If you gained your qualifications outside the UK, we’ll need a ENIC translation (www.naric.org.uk)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in dealing with a wide range of people, both in person and over the phone
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and achieving results
- An organised, team-oriented individual with a “can-do” attitude
- Passion for learning and strong communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, and the ability to use different email systems
- Ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines and targets
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4/C including English, or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience
