Salary: £61,000 per annum to £70,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £53,345 per annum to £62,345 per annum(Regional salary), dependant on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest in-house repairs teams in the housing sector, helping L&Q deliver on our purpose to provide homes and neighbourhoods everyone can be proud of. We are at an exciting time where our core systems will be upgraded and changed, and in due course our core housing management system will also be updated. This role reports into the Head of Service Improvement and Programme Management and there is a team of four to manage
Your impact in the role:
We are looking for a Systems Manager primarily to ensure our Advanced DRS and Total Repair/Total Mobile (and in the near future Total Connect) products support our direct labour organisation (Direct Maintenance - DM), this is a hands-on technical, project management and management role vital to ensuring our workforce remains productive
Supporting our operational technicians and their management staff is key, with timely resolution of issues within our control
Key relationships are with the corporate Technology department and systems suppliers in order to ensure that any application, integration and infrastructure issues and system changes are handled promptly. You will also work closely withour Reporting, Service Improvement Team and other DM operational teams
The main duties of the role are
- Ensuring system issues are identified, reported and resolved in appropriate timescales, liaising with internal Technology department and external suppliers as appropriate
- Evaluating and managing small ad-hoc system configuration changes, project-based changes and systems related projects
- Ensuring that periodic system duties are undertaken promptly in order to produce accurate
- Ensuring any system configuration changes and staff data changes are accurate and timely
What you'll bring:
- Expert knowledge of maintenance business systems, integrations, application features, including current technology configuration and architecture. Knowledge must include Total Connect, Total Repairs, Total Mobile, Advanced DRS and ability to learn our in-house system Arena
- Experienced in people and performance management, able to direct, motivate and empower staff to deliver against objectives
- Project management - Proven experience project managing and overseeing technical and business systems projects, improvements and enhancements.
- Experience of managing within technical and systems support teams, interacting and negotiating with internal and external customers and stakeholders at all levels
- Impact analysis skills - Ensuring effects of proposed business process and technology changes are considered and handled
- Knowledge of key systems data structures and reporting capabilities, able to advise DM on reporting approaches, practical ability to read and write SQL Syntax
- High level of computer literacy with intermediate skills in MS Office products and collaborative working tools
- Experience and/or knowledge of housing management/sector or similar environment, including in house repairs services, and electronic materials replenishment platforms
- Demonstrable influencing skills, specifically around ensuring that requests relying on IT resourcing are prioritised appropriately
- Procedure definition and documentation skills and associated document management good practice
- Able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, handling ad-hoc and project requests and switching resources where required to address changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and able to put together influential business cases using data and business systems information
- Effective time management skills, able to prioritise workload and meet targets and deadlines
