Title: Talent Development Advisor

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £32,881 to £36,069 per annum (London)

£28,886 to £31,876 per annum (Outside London)

Depending on experience

Grade: 6

Reporting Office: Stratford, London or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Your Impact in the Role:

  • Programme Design & Delivery: Support the creation and continuous improvement of Talent Development programmes, ensuring high-quality interventions that maximise retention and progression.
  • Advisory & Support: Advise colleagues, managers, and leaders on talent solutions and provide mentoring and career support to programme delegates.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and administer programmes to meet business needs, ensuring excellent customer service and alignment with L&Q values.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong internal relationships across HR, OD, and leadership teams, and represent L&Q externally with schools, colleges, universities, and local authorities.
  • Procurement & Compliance: Manage apprenticeship providers, ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards, and maintain accurate data for monitoring and reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion collaboration and a ‘can do’ approach to deliver innovative, effective talent solutions.

What you'll bring:

  • Talent Development Expertise: Proven ability to design and deliver development programmes, including apprenticeships, mentoring, and coaching, with a focus on retention and progression.
  • Strong Project Coordination Skills: Experience managing varied and demanding workloads, coordinating large projects independently and collaboratively, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Relationship Management & Collaboration: Ability to build effective working relationships with HR professionals, L&D teams, and business stakeholders, as well as external partners such as schools and universities.
  • Advisory & Communication Skills: Confidence in advising managers and leaders on talent solutions, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: GCSE English and Maths (essential), Level 3 CIPD or equivalent (desirable), Level 5 Coaching qualification (desirable), and evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Professional Qualifications: A post-degree qualification in a relevant design discipline, with accreditation or progress toward CIOB, RIBA, or an equivalent body.
