Salary: Grade 3 SCP 4 £19,155.78

The Governing Body of Deri Primary School is looking to employ an enthusiastic, committed and hard-working Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work within our mixed Nursery to Year 2 class.

- The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a dynamic Level 1 teaching assistant to support learning in the school. Candidates will be required to have NVQ Level 1 in Childcare and Education or equivalent, to support learning in the school.
- The Teaching Assistant will be required to work under the guidance of, and with the supervision of the Teaching and Senior Staff to implement agreed programmes of work.
- The postholder will be expected to support class teachers with assessment procedures and behaviour management.
- There will be a focus on working as a member of our strong school team, encouraging positive behaviour in our children and assisting them in achieving high standards.
- There will be a requirement to understand and have prior experience of the Foundation Phase.
- The postholder will be expected to lead a Read, Write, Inc group and ensure resources are readied and work marked to a high standard.
- The post holder will be expected to have good skills in ICT, literacy and maths.
- An ability to be well-organised and work efficiently is essential.
- The post holder will be expected to attend a weekly planning meeting within directed hours.
- The post holder is expected to maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety and promote a culture of positive wellbeing for all.
