About the Role & Team

A vacancy has arisen for a Team Leader – the primary purpose of this post is to provide professional FM Operational Building Services for the Council’s premises in Keynsham and Midsomer Norton.

The post is responsible for the effective day to day smooth running of the Council’s offices, public areas, meeting and function rooms in the Council’s offices and other corporate premises at Keynsham and Midsomer Norton.

The Premises team will consist of 3 staff plus additional casual staff or contractors when required.

Key responsibilities include the management of a range of facilities services to users and occupiers of these buildings, including: Health and Safety management, Building Security, Caretaking services and porter duties, as well as overseeing the efficient management of the office facilities including meeting rooms, ensuring high standards of security, cleanliness, presentation, maintenance and safety at all times. A customer focussed approach is required, supporting the building occupiers in flexible working practices, and other building users. Staff management experience will be an advantage.
