This EO Team Leader role will work closely with and support the relationship between HMCTS Facilities Management (FM) and operational staff, to ensure that our court and tribunal buildings are looked after and maintained Presently, the role holder does not manage a team.

Your role
You will be based at either Hull Combined Court Centre or Hull Magistrates Court. You will provide outstanding service to all our users, delivering on your area of work against local, regional and national priorities.
You are an effective communicator, able to collaborate, influence, develop and maintain positive working relationships. Your key stakeholders will include operational and facilities management colleagues and facilities management colleagues, external parties, court users and the Judiciary.
You will contribute to the delivery of operational, performance and service standard targets and provide data as required. Your keen eye for detail, desire for resolving issues and continuous improvement is key to your success.
Whilst currently this role does not require line management, you may be allocated a team in the future. If this is required, you will recognise the importance of the team’s overall wellbeing and can motivate them to succeed; creating a sense of purpose, recognising successes and managing performance to deliver results and achieve business outcomes.

Facilities Management (FM) Duties will include:
· Act as a single point of contact for HMCTS operational colleagues and Judiciary on matters relating to Hull Combined Court, Hull Magistrates Court and Beverley Magistrates Court ensuring everyone informed of relevant building-related activities and issues
· Monitor the effect of building problems on operational activity. Work with FM colleagues to minimise operational impact whilst works are in progress and providing insight into local operational priorities and issues to support (FM) decision making.
· Input and attend meetings with FM colleagues and external FM service partners to inform performance evaluation.
· Engage with the local Facilities Manager and the FM helpdesk; raising queries and for escalations on behalf of Operations and support the delivery of required estate works.
· Assisting with building related matters in designated sites and supporting communications as required

New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum.
These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public.
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
Applications for part-time working would be considered however due to the nature of the role the minimum hours would be 30 hours per week.
Location:
This role can be based at either Hull Combined Court Centre, Lowgate, HU1 2EZ or Hull & Holderness Magistrates Court, Market Place, Hull, HU1 1RD. Regular travel to the other Hull site and Beverley Magistrates Court, Champney Road, HU17 9EJ will be required.
The reserve list for this campaign will be managed in accordance with location preference/s, as indicated in your application. We will appoint in merit list order for each location outlined in the vacancy and hold a separate locational reserve list for each of these locations. After appointments have been made using this locational appointment process, any remaining candidates who met the benchmark for the role will remain on a locational reserve list in accordance with their preferences for 12 months. Please only indicate preferences where you are prepared to work. If you are subsequently offered a role from the reserve list for a location preference indicated in your application and decline it, you will be removed from the reserve list for the vacancy, across all locational preferences.
Interviews:
Interviews will be held in person expected mid March 2026. Requests for virtual interviews and alternate dates will only be considered in exceptional circumstances or as part of a reasonable adjustment.
