This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker or an existing team manager. We are looking for someone with post qualification experience, and experience of supervising/mentoring other staff.

What makes the role unique?
As a Team Manager you will oversee and get the best out of a locality team of social workers and care managers. The team will be linked closely to primary care, and the core element of the role is to lead on providing excellent support to social care clients within your area. You will be part of a larger Care and Support service covering the whole of Northumberland with strong management and peer support in the role.
The job encompasses motivating the team to high levels of performance, managing staff workload and the workflows effectively, supervision and appraisal of team members, and key other areas of work including safeguarding adults and assisting with service development where necessary.
Training and personal development opportunities will be available.
You will also be responsible for managing a delegated health and social care budget for the locality.

- The successful candidate should have experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
- The successful candidate will lead on quality assuring social work practice

For this position you must have the following:
- Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England
- Experience of supervising or mentoring staff
- Post-Qualifying Experience e.g. PG Certificate modules
- It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence and is either a car owner or can use a car for work purposes.
