An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract for 9 months as Team Manager in the Support and Protect Service whilst the substantive post holder is on secondment. The team are responsible for children subject of Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, Legal Proceedings and Children in our Care.
You will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a team of social workers in promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop plans, and provide ongoing support. As a member of our team, you will be joining a welcoming, experienced, supportive and stable service which works hard and celebrates our achievements and good practice.
Each team has an Assistant Team Manager and 5 social workers which as team manager you will supervise and support. You will be required to provide clear management oversight and effective decision making to meet our children’s needs in a timely way. You will also need to manage and coordinate work activities in line with the service priorities, along with developing effective partnership arrangements, always with the children and family needs at the heart.
We are based at Magdalen House, Trinity RD, Bootle, L20 3NJ.
Please note that in order to apply for this post you must be qualified and registered as a Social Worker with SWE and have post qualifying experience in safeguarding children.

Salary range
- £53,460 - £54,495 per year
