Job Description

Overview

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dynamic and innovative Technology Adoption Lead to champion digital transformation across the organisation. Sitting within the ICT Services division, this key role will drive the adoption of modern technologies, platforms, and devices among staff and elected members. You’ll lead the development of a network of Technology Champions, design engaging training materials and campaigns, and deliver live events to boost digital confidence and IT literacy.

In addition to promoting digital engagement, you’ll play a central role in managing the migration of Azure Files to SharePoint. This includes developing detailed project plans, coordinating with teams across the council, setting and communicating deadlines, and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones. You’ll also provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensure compliance with ICT policies, and support end-users with training and guidance on the new SharePoint environment. About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience driving technology adoption and digital transformation within a complex organisation

  • Strong understanding of modern workplace tools including Microsoft 365 applications and platforms

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire users at all levels

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to deliver practical, user-focused solutions

  • Demonstrable ability to lead change initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships effectively

  • Solid analytical skills with experience in tracking adoption metrics and producing insightful reports

  • Confidence in designing and delivering engaging training materials, campaigns and live events

  • A collaborative mindset, able to work across teams and foster a network of Technology Champions

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with technology trends

  • A passion for improving user experience and simplifying technical processes across the organisation
