As a Test Engineer within our Information Services Division, you will play an important role in supporting the digital systems and services that enable COPFS to deliver its work effectively and efficiently.

Working as part of an experienced Software Testing Team, you will help ensure that digital products and services are reliable, accessible and fit for purpose. Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, working collaboratively and maintaining high standards of quality. You'll be involved in a variety of digital projects, with opportunities to contribute throughout the development lifecycle and play a key role in ensuring successful outcomes for users and stakeholders.

We are looking for a motivated and analytical individual who can build effective working relationships, adapt to changing priorities and apply sound judgement when assessing quality and risk. Whether you are looking to further develop your existing testing experience or take the next step in your career, you will join a supportive team that values collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.

If you are passionate about delivering quality digital services and want to use your skills to make a meaningful contribution within a unique public service organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Person specification

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual with experience in software testing and a passion for delivering high quality digital services. You will be comfortable working within Agile delivery environments, planning and executing testing activities, and building effective working relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues to support successful project outcomes.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess requirements, identify risks and defects, and communicate findings clearly to a range of audiences. You will be organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

You will thrive in a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing practices. A proactive approach to learning and development, alongside a willingness to embrace new technologies and ways of working, will be important to your success in this role.

Experience of accessibility testing and cloud-based environments would be advantageous.
