This includes assessing and approving applications, reviewing traffic management plans, and coordinating with stakeholders such as utility companies, contractors, emergency services, and internal departments.

The role involves monitoring active TTROs to ensure safety and compliance, resolving operational issues, and conducting site inspections when necessary. As a senior technical lead, the post holder will provide expert advice on traffic regulation matters, mentor junior staff, and support continuous improvement across the service.

They will also contribute to process development, including digitisation initiatives, and produce reports on TTRO activity and performance. Additionally, the role may require providing support during emergency works or out-of-hours incidents to ensure rapid and effective traffic management.

Ideally, you will already have a good working knowledge of all current legislation and a methodical approach which enables you to undertake your work effectively and efficiently. Competent IT user, with good working knowledge of a range of packages including Google Docs & Sheets, Microsoft Word and Excel. You will also have a sound understanding of current Streetworks Registers, and the use of Street manager and One network would be beneficial.
