Twilight Environmental Enforcement Officer

Salary: £32,830 to £40,751 pro rata* (Pay Award Pending)

36 Hours per week -12 month temporary contract

The Enforcement Team are key within the council, delivering a proactive and effective environmental enforcement service, providing information, education and taking enforcement action to prevent and respond to environmental issues.

You will work flexible evenings and weekends and be responsible for undertaking patrols in our towns and public spaces to enforce our Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) and tackle issues like littering, fly tipping, dog fouling, unauthorised overnight camping and fishing, unauthorised use of bbq’s and open fires, unauthorised moorings and environmental crimes. You will be the eyes and ears of the council, engaging with local communities to help Elmbridge thrive.

Your previous experience inenforcement or with a regulatory function will be help you in the role, as well as your strong communication, observational and customer care skills.
