This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Environmental Health professional who is passionate about protecting public health, safeguarding the environment, and improving quality of life for our residents and communities.
As a Senior Environmental Health Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality regulatory service. Regulatory enforcement and compliance activities
However, applications are welcomed from individuals with broader Environmental Health experience who can demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and commitment required for the role.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) is desirable, as is a Postgraduate Diploma in Acoustics, or an equivalent qualification.
Why Sunderland City Council?
We are committed to supporting our employees and offer an excellent range of benefits, including:
Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
Flexible working through our flexi-time scheme

31 days for employees with five or more years' continuous local government service (not including public bank holidays)
Access to Council electric pool cars for work-related duties (where applicable)
This is an excellent opportunity to further your Environmental Health career within a supportive, forward-thinking authority that values professional development and innovation.
