We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy Workshop Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment that play a vital role in delivering essential services across the Borough.
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles and plant, including cars, vans, HGVs, refuse collection vehicles and specialist equipment. You will help ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant and available to support frontline services.

You will:
- Carry out safety inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and plant.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing and undertake MOT tests where qualified.
- Complete servicing records, inspection reports and defect documentation accurately.
- Participate in vehicle and plant recovery operations when required.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance and emergency response activities, including winter maintenance support.
- Work to high health and safety standards while contributing to a positive team environment.
