About the team

Hertfordshire Equipment Service (HES) provides essential equipment to support people across Hertfordshire and surrounding boroughs, helping them to live safely and independently in their own homes, care homes, and schools.

Our Warehouse Team is at the heart of this service, ensuring equipment is received, processed, recycled, and distributed efficiently. The team works closely with drivers, logistics colleagues, and wider operational staff to deliver a responsive and reliable service to the community.

This is an established and fast-paced team where every role contributes to making a meaningful difference to residents.

About the role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining a smooth and efficient warehouse operation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include handling incoming deliveries, preparing and picking stock, and supporting the safe movement of equipment throughout the warehouse.

You will assist in unloading deliveries and ensure stock is stored correctly. Maintaining a safe and organised environment will be a priority, including keeping aisles clear and adhering to health and safety standards.

The role involves recycling returned equipment and materials, supporting stock control processes, and accurate record keeping. You will be trained in the use of warehouse machinery and may undertake basic assembly, barcoding, and labelling tasks.

This is a hands-on, varied role requiring flexibility and the ability to respond to changing priorities in a busy environment.
