We are seeking two full time, Waste Consultation and Engagement Leads to help shape the future of waste services across the Lancaster district.

The post holders will look at leading on engagement and consultation in preparation for the implementation of the new Government Waste Strategy with residents and businesses. Working with the community to understand the challenges the neighbourhood face in regard to waste management, with the focus on increased participation rates and maximising recycling within the district.

The successful candidates will need to possess excellent customer engagement, effective project management and coordination skills. They will need to be planned, organised and proactive in their approach to promoting and maximising environmental improvements across waste and recycling.

The hours for these temporary posts are 37 hours per week, working five days out of seven. There is the potential of occasional evening and weekend work to engage with different groups and residents the posts are based at our White Lund Site. The posts are temporary for 15 months.
