Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

This job is workstyle 5 - Hybrid+

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

You will work within the waste strategy team to manage the customer care, commercial waste and enforcement functions. You will have an HND or significant relevant experience in a similar role. You must have knowledge and experience of waste issues at both local and national levels, and particularly in relation to a local authority setting. You will have experience of managing staff and the use of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel).

Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to be self motivated and use your initiative, engage with and persuade others and work as part of a team. A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

This job is temporary until no later than 31 October 2028.

Internal and external applications on a secondment basis will be considered. You must have the approval of your line manager / organisation.
