Use your expertise to help us meet our workforce needs
As Workforce Planning People Partner, you will liaise with heads of department to understand resource requirements and support the Head of Strategic Workforce to develop and embed the Force’s strategic workforce planning approach. You’ll use a data-driven approach to develop insights and identify risks by looking at trends and forecasts.
You will also manage Workforce Planning Officers, supporting them to ensure they have clear objectives, accountability and are able to perform efficiently and effectively.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating realistic, data‑informed workforce plans that address immediate risks, emerging gaps and longer-term needs
- Supporting with the Strategic Workforce Board and other workforce-planning-related boards
- Taking a lead role in Police Officer, Police Staff and PCSO recruitment planning, ensuring resourcing needs are met
The must haves
- CIPD Level 5 qualification
- Experience applying strategic workforce planning in a large or complex organisation
- Understand attraction, retention and workforce challenges across policing or similar sectors
