Job summary

As the Workplace Adjustments Manager at the House of Commons, you’ll play a key role in creating an inclusive, accessible environment across UK Parliament. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise in disability inclusion and workplace support to make a meaningful difference for Members, their staff, and parliamentary employees. You will join the workplace adjustments team, helping individuals to overcome barriers and enabling them to thrive at work.

Job description

You’ll work directly with colleagues to explore their workplace needs, facilitating open conversations and identifying challenges that can be reduced or removed through tailored adjustments. Using evidence-based insight, you’ll recommend and coordinate appropriate support, whether that involves equipment, onward referral, or practical changes, while managing budgets responsibly.

Collaboration will be central to your role. You’ll build strong relationships with internal teams such as Occupational Health, Wellbeing, and Inclusion & Diversity, as well as external organisations and disability networks.

By monitoring key data, identifying trends, and staying up to date with best practice, you’ll help Parliament continually improve its approach to accessibility and ensure that everyone can participate and perform at their best.

Person specification

  • Demonstrable experience working with people of disability in disability management, vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy, education, diversity, inclusion, workplace support, or accessibility;
  • Experience in utilising external support or recommending appropriate assessment pathways or specialist assessment services to dyslexia, autism, ADHD, neurodiversity etc;
  • Experience in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating workplace support to promote and maintain optimal physical and mental health;
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality and documentation and using systems to keep accurate records;
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion;
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
