Base71 Youth Zone is dedicated to young people and makes a bold statement about theimportance of giving young people high quality places to go in their leisure time. Open 7 days a week including school holidays, the Youth Zone’s purpose is to help young people grow to be happy, healthy and successful adults.

The state of the art £10 million building provides young people with facilities that are second to none delivering over twenty sporting, artistic, cultural and general recreational activities each session. Offering young people the opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and gain support from friendly, warm and positive staff and volunteers

As the Youth Work Manager at Base71 Youth Zone, you will play a key role in leading our Delivery Team and ensuring we continue to provide a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for young people aged 8–19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs or disabilities.

Now 10 months into our Youth Zone journey, we are looking for a passionate, experienced and inspiring individual to lead and further develop our youth work provision, ensuring young people have access to a diverse range of exciting activities, experiences and opportunities.

You will oversee the quality and delivery of our Youth Zone sessions, including Holiday Club provision, while providing strong, hands-on leadership, guidance and support to our Youth Work Co-ordinators, Youth Workers and volunteers. You will also lead on developing our Young Leaders programme, strengthening community partnerships and ensuring our provision continues to meet the needs of young people.

This is a hands-on role requiring regular evening and weekend working, with an expectation that two to three of your five working days each week will include evening or weekend shifts, ensuring a visible and supportive presence across our sessions.
