Help Children and Young People with SEND Thrive, Grow and Shine!

Are you passionate about creating fun, inclusive and supportive opportunities for children and young people with SEND? Do you want a role where every day is different, every achievement is celebrated, and every session has the potential to make a lasting impact?

If so, we'd love you to join our team.

Redcar & Cleveland Early Help Youth & Community Service is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 Youth Workers to help lead and deliver our exciting School Holiday Short Breaks Programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with SEND to build confidence, develop friendships, discover new experiences and, most importantly, have fun.

We're looking for individuals who genuinely believe in the potential of every child and young person. People who are passionate advocates, positive role models and committed to delivering meaningful, empowering youth work that helps young people reach their full potential.

As a Level 2 or Level 3 Youth Worker, you'll be at the heart of our SEND youth provisions, working directly with children and young people across the Borough. You'll bring energy, creativity, enthusiasm and compassion to every session, helping to create memorable experiences and opportunities for young people to succeed.

Working alongside our Children with Disabilities Youth Leader and Neighbourhood Youth Officer, you'll play an important role in shaping and delivering high-quality provisions. You'll contribute to the development of engaging activities, work within Redcar & Cleveland's Youth Work Core Curriculum and help ensure that every young person feels valued, included and empowered.

What you'll bring:
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • The ability to build trusting relationships and create inclusive environments.
  • A commitment to empowering young people and helping them achieve their goals.
  • A desire to make a real and lasting difference in young people's lives.
Why join us?
This is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to:
  • Create positive experiences that young people will remember for years to come.
  • Support children and young people to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
  • Be part of a passionate and supportive team.
  • Help shape services that genuinely meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.
  • Experience the rewards that come from seeing young people grow, succeed and thrive.
If you're ready to champion children and young people with SEND and help deliver youth provision that inspires, empowers and transforms lives, we'd love to hear from you.

The Authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Therefore, this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Please note that all appointments are subject to a six-month probationary period.
