This post is an opportunity for a creative, Youth Worker to join our team and make a real difference to the lives of young people living in the Weston-super-Mare area.

We have an opening for a nationally qualified and experienced Youth Worker to continue the development of Youth Work delivery across the three Weston-super-Mare South Ward Estates, Bourneville, Oldmixon and Coronation. Based at Weston Youth Centre working in an area of high social need, you will manage a small part time team, you’ll drive youth work curriculum programmes, with the aim of increasing young people’s participation in youth work opportunities and activities. You will need to have excellent management skills and the ability to engage naturally with young people.

The work will involve using a range of methods including building based, outreach, detached and mobile. The post holder will work closely with Weston Youth Centre and agencies across the locality to target and engage those young people who are harder to reach and vulnerable.

This opportunity is open to nationally qualified Youth Workers with some experience of detached and street based youth work together with experience of targeted Youth Work, CAF, multi agency Integrated working and knowledge of the challenges created by Every Child Matters, The Children Bill, Aiming High and Integrated Working.
