The vacancy
Your typical day as an Estate Services Caretaker could start with internal communal area lighting checks and replacing blown light bulbs. You will then carry out a range of cleaning activities in allocated areas, ensuring that Peabody's estates are maintained to the highest standard.
As part of our Caretaking Team, you will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of internal and external communal areas including entrances, staircases, corridors, lifts, bin rooms, car parks, and podium gardens. You will also perform litter picking, sweeping, and other tasks to keep our residents' living environments safe and clean.
You will enjoy building relationships with residents and will act as the first point of contact for Caretaking-related enquiries. You'll collaborate with various teams, such as Neighbourhood Services, to address residents' needs and ensure any anti-social behaviour or safeguarding concerns are reported.

What you'll need to be successful:
- Proven experience in a caretaking or cleaning role
- Knowledge of COSHH and general Health and Safety awareness
- Practical experience in the use of powered equipment
- Strong time management and the ability to work under pressure
- Great communication and customer service skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised and use your initiative
