You will deal with a wide range of contentious and complex proposals and you must possess the requisite level of knowledge, skill and experience to perform this role. \nYou will need to have experience of managing major and complex applications and a proven track record of working collaboratively with applicants to achieve positive outcomes.\nYou will have a flexible and positive approach to work and a strong commitment to customer care. \nYou must have:\n<ul>\n<li>A Professional qualification in Town Planning or equivalent</li>\n<li>Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or capable of joining</li>\n<li>Significant experience of assessing major, complex planning applications</li>\n<li>Experience of working closely with elected members including presenting at Planning Committee and various committee briefings</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills including verbal briefings and written reports</li>\n<li>The ability to prioritise competing work pressures and meet strict deadlines</li>\n<li>Excellent IT skills</li>\n</ul>\nInterviews are likely to take place week commencing 2 December 2024.
