We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Senior Financial Assessment Officer to join our proactive Financial Assessment team here at Wokingham Borough Council on a 6-month fixed term contract.
As the Senior Financial Assessment Officer, you will work in the Financial Assessments Team for Adult Social Care, primarily working on the Minimum Income Guarantee (MIG) Project, assisting our vulnerable customers.
Part of this role will include supervising the operations of the calculation of financial assessments. You will assist with resolving queries relating to financial assessments functions and provide relevant internal advice individually and through group presentations.
You will be able to demonstrate an extensive working knowledge of the relevant legislation that the Financial Assessment falls into (Care Act 2014) and be able to assist with customers who are funded and will have queries relating to the Minimum Income Guarantee (MIG) and unsecured debt to the council is monitored to limit any risk.

Whilst this is a fixed term contract appointment, for anyone already employed by Wokingham Borough Council this would be classed as a secondment if successful. Therefore, the usual permission requests for secondments apply and you must speak to your line manager in the first instance before applying.
