About the Role:
London Borough of Lambeth is looking for a candidate with substantial experience working in the domestic abuse/violence against women and girls’ field. The candidate should have knowledge of current housing and homeless legislation including the Homeless reduction Act 2017.
The post holder will work with case and policy area relating to women experiencing with additional vulnerabilities or multiple disadvantage this includes experiencing domestic abuse, involvement in offending and or criminal justice system, exploitation, prostitution or trafficking.
In this role you will work within the Homeless Prevention Service to provide support to women with additional needs, specialist advice to Housing Advisors on the issue effecting women with additional vulnerabilities and lead on the improvement of systems, policies and practice related to the prevention of homelessness for women with additional vulnerabilities.
Knowledge, passionate and self-motivated you will act as the single point of contact for the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) and coordinate progress and development to maintain accreditation. You will build close partnerships with stakeholders, raising awareness of the range of housing options available, improving the advice and support that is offered to survivors of domestic abuse throughout the Borough.
