Apply for this exciting role and lead the Child-Friendly Medway team’s delivery of engagement events and activities for children, young people, and families across Medway.
Help lead planning, development, partnership working, and promotion of our exciting Seeing is Believing programming of events and activities for children and young people, parents, carers, families, and wider community. Including creative arts workshops, drop-in sports, book reading, soft-play, seasonal and themed activities. As well as larger scale events like our Child-Friendly Medway City Halls and brand (stall activations) and team engagement for partner led events.
Be responsible for event planning, development, and delivery (end to end), and leading the staff and delivery on the day for a number of Child-Friendly Medway events and activities from our Seeing is Believing programme, including our Child-Friendly Medway City Halls, film events, holiday and themed events.
Duties include coming up with event and activity ideas, scheduling programming, contracting of partners, performers, venues and suppliers. Writing contracts, event plans, speaking notes, supporting the creation of marketing materials and promotion. Supporting finance invoicing and payments, and procurement where necessary. Creating site and floor plans, and staffing plans and responsibilities, including packing, set up and tear down. Writing and delivering event briefings. As well as administrative tasks, data collection, analysis, and reports.
We are a collaborative team, and all members will support the Business Support and Events Officer with event ideas, resources for events, and planning required especially for the larger scale events.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will be willing to bring energy and ideas to enhance our event delivery.
