You'll successfully deliver works to a high quality, as detailed within digitised orders, fulfilling our first-time fix, appointment objectives, and resident satisfaction criteria, with efficient working practices and value for money in mind always. Please note, there is an obligation to attend scheduled, out of hour emergencies within this role. What you'll need<ul> <li>A proven track record of working within a Direct Labour Service, where customer satisfaction is at the heart of service delivery - two years' experience is essential.</li> <li>Capability to work alone for the majority of the time, with experience in a range of repairs, maintenance work, and day-to-day repairs (internal & external) including Fencing, Plumbing, Decorating, Carpentry, Glazing, Roofing, Groundworks, Bricklaying, and Labouring.</li> <li>The ability to assess the risks associated with lone working and other health and safety hazards associated with the technical nature of the job.</li> <li>Specialist knowledge of construction technology, science and materials, principles of refurbishment, surveying, measuring, and setting out.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>The ability to submit presentable and accurate paperwork including digital PDA database information as per requirements of the contract, to establish works are carried out correctly, and accurate, detailed coding and costing information is obtained.</li>\n</ul>The role is predominantly site based, but with our Hub at The Oasts in Maidstone operating as a base. We envisage the successful applicant working 40 hours per week, 08:00 - 17:00, Monday through Friday, with out of hours being scheduled additionally via a 3-4 week rota (standby and call-out fees paid in addition to the base salary). As this role requires you to travel across Kent and on occasion into other regions you will be supplied with a Southern Housing fleet vehicle for working purposes only. However, you will need to be over the age of 21, with a full and valid UK driving licence and a minimum 2 years driving experience to receive this benefit. Otherwise, you will be required to demonstrate an ability to travel between sites and offices across Kent and on occasion into other regions nationally.
