About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.  Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re building an Adult Social Care system in Camden that’s based on relationships, love and what matters most to the people who draw on our support. We’re looking for a project officer to join our dynamic Prevention and Wellbeing service. This is your opportunity to help shape innovation and service development in Adult Social Care and directly influence the work of our Camden Integrated Care Partnership.

Taking an early help approach is key to the successful delivery of our ambition in Adult Social Care. With the other Project Officers in the team, you’ll manage the two Adult Social Care information and advice websites. Across both resources, you will be responsible for keeping the content current, accessible and relevant to a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have shared responsibility for researching, developing, delivering and keeping up to date all of our varied policy and practice guidance. You aren’t expected to be an expert in every topic, but you will be able to seek out and work with experts, initiate discussions and collaborations with stakeholders, and find relevant information which will enable you to deliver your work.

Developing and maintaining strong partnerships is important to this role. You will also be responsible for driving change through a number of projects which will contribute to the delivery of Supporting People, Connecting Communities, the What Matters approach to Adult Social Care and Camden’s Integrated Care Partnership programme. This cannot be done in isolation; you will be working with colleagues across the Council, NHS, Voluntary Community Sector and with people who may draw on social care services and carers to collaborate and take every opportunity to coproduce work. You’ll make it your priority to ensure everyone has a voice, and there is always full consideration of local needs and opportunities.

You will be accountable to various governance groups and boards through your work. You should be prepared to use various project management tools and skills to deliver timely and accurate outcomes.

All About You

The ideal person will be curious to look for new ways of doing things and always want to learn and find out more. We’re looking for people who can think creatively and innovate in all they do. You will bring a good understanding of project management tools and their practical application. This is a great development opportunity if you have some project experience but want to further develop your project management skills. Crucially, you’re also great with people. You will need great communication and influencing skills along with the ability to develop and present reports to a high standard. You should have excellent attention to detail.

You will be passionate about providing good quality information and advice and will recognise that, when this is given in the right place and at the right time, it can improve the lives of Camden’s citizens. You will be working in a team and team collaboration is encouraged. The information and advice platform responsibility is shared and each team member has their own focussed projects. You should also be able to work under your own initiative and have the ability to manage a complex and diverse workload independently. Having a good understanding of Adult Social Care and Health, or having experience of similar environments, is essential.
