We're looking for a talented Electrical Services Designer to join our innovative Design & Maintenance Team. In this role, you'll bring your expertise to a variety of exciting projects, from schools and housing developments to offices and public buildings. You'll collaborate closely with both internal designers and external consultants, ensuring that every project meets the highest technical and financial standards.
Under the guidance of our Principal Services Engineer and Project Design Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering professional design services that make a real impact on our communities. About you
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in Building Electrical Services Engineering and are confident in your ability to produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD software. Your strong technical background includes the ability to carry out complex electrical design calculations, leveraging tools like Hevacomp to ensure precision and efficiency.
But it's not just about the technical skills-you're a strong communicator and collaborator, able to build and maintain effective working relationships both inside and outside the Council. You know how to consult, negotiate, and influence others to achieve the best possible outcomes for every project.
Your understanding of current legislation and statutory requirements, including CDM regulations, asbestos regulations, and IEE regulations, ensures that all your work is compliant and up to standard. With a relevant professional qualification (HNC or equivalent), or equivalent work-based experience and training, you're ready to take the next step in your career.
