We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated library stock officer to help deliver our popular library service which is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our communities. We deliver traditional library services as well as new digital technologies, as well as supporting the delivery of wider council services.
This is a permanent post, working 29.6 hours per week. The role is based at Woodley Library, and the hours worked will be focussed around library opening hours.
The successful candidates will require excellent communication skills and take responsibility for the stock acquisition process, as well as assisting with general stock management procedures.
General experience of working in a public library or similar customer service environment would be an advantage, however most important is the ability to deliver excellent admin and stock management. An understanding of library policy at a local and national level would also be an advantage.
