Social Impact and Insight Officer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Social Impact and Insight Officer to play a vital role within our small but friendly Social Impact Team.
Reporting to the Social Impact Manager, you will lead research and analysis across the organisation to inform the senior management team and Board and aid strategic decisions.
We are looking for an experienced candidate with a pro-active approach and willingness to establish effective relationships both internally and externally, who can collate, analyse and report data that builds an understanding of current and emerging issues relevant to a developing social landlord, benchmarks Hightown’s performance against sector peers and demonstrates our social impact. The successful candidate will also support the Social Impact Manager in activities associated with the Homes for Cathy group, an alliance of housing associations, charities and local authorities united to end homelessness.
A good communicator, you will possess excellent inter-personal, written, numerical, analytical and IT skills and have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering research projects and presenting data in an engaging and concise manner to a range of audiences.
Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will have a relevant qualification and ideally, previous experience in social housing, homelessness or a related sector; you will be a highly motivated and a quick learner with a can-do approach. You will need to have excellent advanced MSExcel skills and experience of using online survey platforms.
Hightown offers a hybrid work arrangement, whereby full-time staff members may work two days per week (or four half days) at home and are required to attend the office for three days a week as a minimum; the successful candidate will therefore need to live within commuting distance of our central offices in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
