This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the well-established Mental Health Outreach Team.
We are looking to recruit to a full time position (37 hours per week)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive person to join our team to provide support to people with a range of mental health issues and/or acquired brain injuries, implementing individual care plans focusing on the direct needs of service users. Support is provided within people’s own homes or in the community.
As a mental health support worker you will work with individuals in a variety of ways to better manage their mental health and wellbeing, develop and maximise independence, become socially inclusive, and increase choices within the community. This involves outcome focused structured programs as well as person centred support.
Applicants should have a minimum of NVQ2, or equivalent, and experience of working in a social care setting, preferably within mental health. Ability to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and well-being are key for this role. You will be highly motivated and have experience of social inclusion and building community links. In addition, the successful applicant will need to have good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work as part of a team, be flexible in approach, and be willing to continually improve their own practice and service provision.
