Some have learning or physical disabilities and need high levels of physical care, others can meet their own day to day needs but may have behaviours of concern, mental ill-health or just a need for support to get through their everyday lives.<strong> </strong> <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> Work in peoples' own homes on our sites, to support them with:<ul>\n<li> Meeting their basic daily needs and achieve their goals </li>\n<li> Personal hygiene, eating and drinking </li>\n<li> Keeping their homes clean </li>\n<li> Managing their money </li>\n<li> Taking their medication </li>\n<li> Attending health appointments </li>\n<li> Joining in with social and leisure activities at home and in their local community </li>\n</ul>In short breaks, people rely on you to support them to enjoy their time away from home while their carers have a well-deserved break. <br><br> This is a fantastic opportunity to take a step towards management with great support. <br><br><b>About you</b><br><br> You just need the right values and a willingness to learn. <br><br> You need to have some experience as a Support Worker for this role and to hold an RQF Level 2 award or equivalent - we will support you with all additional the training you need. <br> <br> As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts - overseeing the team and dealing with day-to-day challenges, supervise others and take on an additional area of responsibility such as coordination of training or health and safety. <br><br> Most of our services need you to support people with personal care, in some this involves using moving and handling equipment and, in those services, you would need to be physically able to manage this type of work. <br><br> Our roles involve shift work on either days or nights, including weekends and bank holidays.
