An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are looking to recruit two Outdoor Activity Development Coaches to oversee the delivery of water sports and land based outdoor adventurous activities and courses at the newly refurbished Crosby Lakeside. Consisting of a 78-hectare marine lake, a health and fitness suite, two fitness studios, meeting rooms and the newly opened Bunk Barn, which is our exciting new onsite residential accommodation space for schools and organisations to stay. As well as being next door to the recently opened Lake House, this facility is one of Sefton’s primary assets situated in the stunning Crosby Coastal Park area of Sefton, Merseyside.
As a member of the coaching team, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality courses, coaching activity sessions, and the provision of our pay & play hire is run. Ensuring the safety of all visitors, customers, and staff is paramount. We are looking for enthusiastic coaches, who are passionate about the benefits of the outdoor experience. Our staff are especially important to us and as part of the team, there may at times be opportunities to develop your personal and coaching skills in a variety of watersports & adventurous activities.
The post involves taking charge and leading a wide range of water & land based outdoor adventurous activities to groups or individuals and at times oversee the hire of our watersport outdoor pay & play equipment and our outdoor swimming sessions. Along with assisting in the general running of a busy leisure and outdoor activity centre, including equipment maintenance and the upkeep of the centre with a view of keeping it clean and tidy.
The successful candidates must possess a passion for water sports and land-based activities and be a qualified instructor in at least one outdoor adventurous activity e.g., sailing. Ideally you will have experience of maintaining watersports and outdoor equipment. We our looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who will be committed to always delivering the best service to our users. You must be an excellent communicator, a skilled coach, able to adapt your style to work with different age groups and the diverse variety of people from across our region and beyond.
