The team has been delivering supported employment for the last 30 years across Hertfordshire. <br><br> The team provides tailored support to all customer groups to find and sustain paid employment. Funded through Adult Care Services, referrals are received for customers who are eligible for care services under The Care Support (Eligibility Criteria) Regulations 2014. Referrals are accepted from anyone with a learning disability, physical or sensory disability, and those with autism, but there must be long-term support arrangement in place as per the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF) definition. The team operates under the values of Supported Employment which include a Zero Rejection philosophy and that everyone can work with the right job and the right support. It operates the 'place then train' methodology which delivers training in their job rather than pre-employment courses or vocational training. It operates under the nationally recognised five step process for supported employment. <br><br> In October 2023, the service was assessed under the Supported Employment Quality Assurance Framework for fidelity to this model and awarded a provider of excellence standard for the following three years. <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> The main purpose of the job role is to understand an individual's needs and work with employers to secure suitable employment. You will deal with a range of tasks, which will include vocational assessments, assisting with C.V's, interview practice, engaging with potential employers and undertaking assessments in an employment setting. <br><br> Recommending adjustments in the workplace, resolving conflicts, and ensuring employer and participant are both happy with the service. You will also be required to work alongside participants in their new jobs, supporting them until they are able to undertake the tasks independently. <br><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential:</strong><ul>\n<li> Minimum of A levels grade C and above, or demonstrable equivalent standard and skills, of English and Maths </li>\n<li> Effective IT skills, competent in the use of a variety of software packages including Charms MI system. </li>\n<li> Possess a wide range of skills and capabilities, such as effective communication, negotiation, flexibility, training and motivation. </li>\n<li> You must be highly organised, able to work on their own initiative and the ability to generate their own workload. </li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable</strong>:<ul>\n<li> Experience of delivering the Supported Employment model </li>\n<li> Experience in working to overcome the challenges faced by people furthest from the job market </li>\n<li> Employer Engagement </li>\n<li> Able to challenge misconceptions </li>\n</ul><br><br>This job role is within the Community Services, level 9 job profile.
