Job title: HR Systems and People Data Analyst
Directorate: Finance & Corporate Services-
Contract type: Permanent / full-time
Salary: London salary (minimum of 2 days in the office) £42,396 or £39,305 outside of London
Location: London, EC1Y / or any other UK location

About the Commission
The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We’re here to ensure the UK’s elections are well-run and the public have confidence in democratic processes.

We are currently developing our Corporate Plan for the next five years and a People Strategy to support its delivery and so the HR team is focussed on getting the best out of its systems and processes to ensure a streamlined and responsive service is provided to all its stakeholders. We have an exciting but challenging agenda to continually improve our HR offering and this role will be key to ensuring that we maximise our systems to deliver it.

About the role
Having recently successfully implemented a new HR system (iTrent) this role will be key to ensuring we maximise the functionality of the new system and ensuring people data is at the heart of decision making at the highest level. This will involve assisting HR in data analysis, report writing, trouble-shooting, the general use of the systems, developing and testing of new functionalities and communicating with customers and suppliers.

About you
With your expertise in HR systems you will be solutions orientated, always keeping the needs of our customers at the forefront.  Highly organised you will approach the projects in a methodological way to ensure delivery. The principle of continuous improvement will guide everything you do and you will be comfortable working in an autonomous way and being accountable for delivery to deadlines. We are a small team and so flexibility to work across and understand different HR disciplines will be key.

More information and how to apply

The Electoral Commission offers excellent terms and conditions, including flexible working hours and the opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements (dependent on scheme rules) which include a valuable range of benefits.

We want to attract the broadest range of talented people who are passionate about democracy. The more diverse our workforce, the better we can adapt to and reflect the needs of society. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and as a staff member you will become part of an inclusive culture, where you will have the opportunity to achieve your full potential and enhance your career through learning and development.

The closing date for applications is Friday 20 September 2024 at 23:59 with interviews taking place over the week commencing 30 September 2024.

We may use video conferencing tools for the interviews. We will confirm details with shortlisted candidates.

Although this role can be located in any UK location occasional travel to London will be required as that is where most of the HR team are based.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact: Jane Gordon, HR Business Partner at JGordon@electoralcommission.org.uk

Submission Guidelines:

Supporting Statement: Your statement should highlight your relevant skills, experience, in relation to the job criteria and person specification which can be downloaded.

Submission: Send your anonymous CV and supporting statement via email to Recruitment@electoralcommission.org.uk with the reference number FCSHR10
