Acton Stars (Before and After School Provision) Leader
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Acton CE Primary Academy, working within the After School Team (Acton Stars).
The role would begin as soon as possible in the Autumn Term 2024; we would welcome you making contact with us over the summer holidays, where we can discuss the role further. Please email the Headteacher, Chris Priddey (head@actonceacademy.org.uk) to make an appointment.
Hours available: 3.15pm to 6.00pm (these hours could also be combined with the afternoon teaching assistant role we have advertised).
Acton CE Primary Academy is a thriving school with nearly 180 children. Acton Stars runs from 7.30am until the beginning of the school day at 8.40 and from 3.20pm to 5.45pm, Monday to Friday, during term time only (39 weeks per year). Upwards of 40 children, from all years in the school, attend the provision on some days in the week.

We are looking for team members who have experience working with children or who are willing to be trained in being effective in this. We also want members of the team who are kind, fun loving and real team players, who enjoy working with children and their families.
Acton CE Primary Academy places the highest priority on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS. As a church school, employees also work with the Headteacher to promote and maintain the Christian distinctiveness of the school.

Rate of pay: competitive and based upon experience
Hours: 13.75 hours, term time only
Contract: temporary, in the first instance, but may become permanent for the right candidate.
