About the Role
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage a team of professional staff driven to ensure a high quality, customer focused tenancy management service to residents in temporary accommodation. This includes tenants within the Councils own housing stock, as well as accommodation provided by external partners with whom the Council has a tenancy management arrangement, such as Local Space.
Following a service re-design this role will report to the Head of Demand and Engagement and oversee 10 housing professionals, including one senior officer. You will need to ensure there is robust performance management and accountability across the service as we strive to deliver a supportive housing function that empowers residents to manage and maintain their accommodation.
The Service will be responsible for ensuring effective tenancy management is in place, putting both resident empowerment and customer service at the forefront of its working ethos. With an expansion of the team comes a drive to become more customer focussed in our approach to case management working in partnership with our colleagues across services.
