The Governors and Head Teacher of Dorin Park School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, hard-working team member to help manage the site of our lovely school.
The Site Maintenance Officer role is diverse, and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake a wide variety of maintenance routine roles, as well as playing a key role in the health and safety requirements of our school. The successful candidate will share our school vision, putting children at the heart of all we do and be committed to working in a school for children with special needs.
The successful candidate will need a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Duties will include building security (registered key holder), general maintenance and minor repairs, liaising with contractors and monitoring and operating the energy systems. Applications from those with experience of decorating, DIY, joinery, electrical, plumbing skills are desirable but not essential. The post will work closely with, and report to, the Site Manager. This is a full-time, full-year position, with a requirement to take annual holiday entitlement in the school holidays. The post is 37 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with alternating two days off per week.
Dorin Park School is committed to ensuring the safety of children and young people and therefore all post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures. Appointment is subject to the completion of pre-employment checks, which includes references, Health Assessment, Right to Work in the UK and a DBS. Applicants will be expected to hold a UK driving licence for vehicles with a manual transmission.
