We are looking for a Development Project Manager to join our dynamic and supportive Asset Management & Engineering Services team.
The post will report to the Building & Engineering Manager and be responsible for the commissioning and managing the delivery of projects within the Councils’ Development and Major Works capital projects and will deputise for the Building & Engineering Manager in their absence.
The post holder will manage and supervise consultants, contractors and the construction of on-site works, ensuring quality and project standards.
Responsibilities will include site surveys and initial feasibility studies including the preparation/commissioning of CAD drawings, bills of quantities, estimates and cost plans. The post holder will also manage the preparation of tender documents and the procurement of contracts, monitor project capital expenditure and project progression, to ensure compliance with approved budgets and timescales/programme and prepare business cases for developments.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Property or Construction or commensurate experience. A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes will be essential, as will mobility and general fitness in order to access a range of sites.
The post is offered on a permanent, full time basis (36 hours per week).
