You will play a leading role in setting the direction for the team and fit into a Camden-wide analytical community of practice to promote an analytics-led approach within the Council.</span></p> <p><span>Working with the Head of Health Intelligence and the Lead Public Health Researcher you will develop the analytical strategy for the health and wellbeing department as well as managing the analytics team and championing technical and methodological advancement, such as complex epidemiological and statistical analysis, modelling, and risk stratification.</span></p> <p><span>You will also have the opportunity to foster and grow our NHS, industry, and academic partnerships, working on innovative and ambitious programs to tackle key issues such as child health equity and poverty in the heart of London.</span></p> <p><span>This post is aligned to the Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework and will be part of Camden’s Analytical Community of Practice, including a dotted line into the Principal Data Analyst.</span></p> <p><span><b>All About You</b></span></p> <p><span>You will be a qualified professional with a postgraduate degree in public health, epidemiology, or a similar numerate discipline. You will come to us with extensive experience in public health analysis, data synthesis, and evidence-based decision making, with strong skills in quantitative and qualitative methods. Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis and visualisation is highly desirable, but not essential as training in these can be provided.</span></p> <p><span>The role requires a deep understanding of public health issues, stakeholder management, and the UK health research landscape. Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills are essential as well as strategic and political awareness in order to effectively generate collaborations with system partners.</span></p> <p><span>You'll lead innovative data analysis projects and synthesis techniques, ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights and represent Camden in professional forums. Key responsibilities include overseeing data management, ensuring compliance with governance policies, and advancing data modelling and visualisation standards. Expertise in statistical methods, IT, and mathematical skills is essential.
