About the Role
Senior Housing Development and Supply officer x 3
We are looking for candidates with the skills and experience to contribute to the delivery of the Council’s ambitious 1000 new Council homes. If you have a proven track record in delivery of new housing with an enabling or construction background, strong organisational skills in project management and have excellent time and communication skills, then we would love to hear from you!
Senior Housing Development and Supply officer (pre-planning) x 1
The post holder will work closely with the Programme Delivery Manager to support Registered Providers gain planning permission, through to completion of units. You will be required to have excellent project management and the organisation skills to ensure sites are delivered within deadlines. Communication skills are essential to present progress to senior managers and Councillors. It would be desirable for the candidate to have experience delivering complex small sites.
The post holder will be responsible for securing affordable housing through negotiation on developer led sites. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of the planning process and affordable housing policy, from a national to a local level. Candidates should have experience in reviewing s106 agreements working closely with solicitors.
Senior Housing Development and Supply officer (post-planning) x 2
We are looking for candidates with the skills and experience to contribute to the delivery of the Council’s ambitious 1000 new Council homes. Located within our Housing Delivery Team you will have the opportunity to project manage a range of new initiatives from inception onto to completion and final account. If you have strong organisational skills in project management and have excellent time and communication skills, then we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project manage scheme from inception through to planning approval.
2. Project manage post contract Council development sites and manage project budgets effectively.
3. Negotiating delivery of affordable housing through the planning process and s106 agreements.
4. Working in collaboration with other Council departments, and senior management to ensure that services are joined up and are delivered to meet the housing needs of the Borough.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The Housing Development and Supply team has a proven track record and long-standing commitment to the delivery of affordable housing and is at the of the new era of building new Council Housing. With the Housing Delivery Plan 2022-2026 outlining a pledge to build 1,000 new Council homes and a goal to bulk purchase an additional 1000 homes for Council housing, we are looking to recruit x3 positions to help deliver our ambitions.
About You
