Our site includes a large garden area, allotment, woodland and has scope to develop further with the right candidate. </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Provide support and guidance to students who are experiencing difficulties in learning due to social, emotional or behavioural problems. </span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to decision making around the selection of students for mentoring </span></li>\n<li><span>Work with relevant staff to assess students’ needs and devise strategies rooted in outdoor learning to overcome barriers preventing them from achieving their full potential. </span></li>\n<li><span>Work with students and relevant staff to develop, implement, monitor and review support action plans. </span></li>\n<li><span>Help students to increase their confidence and self-esteem by listening to them and devising appropriate strategies rooted in outdoor learning, including sporting activities, outdoor pursuits, adventure activities and nature-based learning. </span></li>\n<li><span>Run mentoring groups in response to assessment (eg Boxall), focusing on outdoor activities. </span></li>\n<li><span>Help students who are not achieving their potential on a one-to-one basis outside the classroom or within lessons </span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure mentoring is consistent and the relevant staff/parents are well informed </span></li>\n<li><span>Support students through the transition to the different transition points across the school.</span></li>\n<li><span>Liaise with relevant staff to ensure all students’ needs are met </span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports and evaluations </span></li>\n<li><span>Participate in the coaching process </span></li>\n<li><span>Engage fully in the appraisal process to fulfill personal potential and be able to participate effectively in the implementation of the goals and improvement plan. </span></li>\n<li><span>Attend meetings/training and carry out administrative tasks and duties as specified that are relevant to the role. </span></li>\n<li><span>Consistently implement all school policies </span></li>\n<li><span>Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to a Designated Safeguarding Lead </span></li>\n<li><span>Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Headteacher.</span></li>\n</ul>","shortDescription":"","jobType":"Education -
